Re: Letter of Reference for Dan Kauffman Excavating, Inc.
As Tribal Engineer and Owner’s representative for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, I managed the Tribe’s Capital Improvements Program from 2000 to 2011. I have contracted with Dan Kauffman Excavating on dozens of projects in the past 20 years. The scope of work includes water transmission lines, sanitary sewer collection, on-site disposal, mass excavation, road work, multi-family residential development, slide repair, rock walls, paving, grading, concrete sidewalk, and more. You name it and they have probably done it for me. Dan Kauffman Excavating has earned a good reputation because they consistently provide quality workmanship at a competitive price. Dan is fair and reliable and he won’t nickel and dime you with change orders because he takes the time to scope out the work. Eric F. Scott, PE D.K. Quarries has been a good neighbor of Ballard Acres Homeowner Association. When things come up, such as flood cleanup or grading of Ballard Lane, Dan and his crew have always come through. D.K. Quarries has a quick response time and the equipment to get the job done.

We would like to compliment your secretary, Corinna. She is wonderful and very helpful. She made sure that the men scheduled the appointment for our drainage to be taken care of. She made sure to call us back and let us know. If you don’t know by now she is irreplaceable. We are extremely happy with the crew that came out and put in the drainage for us. They only took a ten minute break and even forgot to take a lunch break. They worked nonstop in order to get this done. This is very much appreciated.
